Rex Hong
Managing Director
Rex Hong is Co-Managing Director of the Asian Division at Peregrine Financial Group, Inc. (PFG), a futures commission merchant with a network of customers, offices and affiliates in more than 80 global locations. In order to accommodate the growing global demand for futures and forex products and services, PFG formed its Asian Division in late 2005.
Rex joined the PFG Asian Division in August 2006 to aid in the expansion efforts aimed at Asian clients and to implement the sales and business plans for that division. Rex was also instrumental in the launch of the company’s Shanghai Representative Office in China as well as its day-to-day business operations. The opening of the Shanghai office marks PFG's preliminary presence in China.
Prior to joining PFG, Rex served as Senior Account Executive and Asian Specialist of IFX Markets Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of the London-based international market maker, IFX Markets Ltd.; IFX Group has been listed on the London Stock Exchange since 1965.
Rex holds a Series 3 commodity futures license. He earned a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University in New York City and also received his M.S. in Economics from the University of Nevada, Reno.
